Festival

So, our biggest festival is now over. The last day of it, ie, bhau-beej was quite enjoyable. We had all the family members got together here. My daughter being the only girl in the family of our 3 brothers. All of them had come to my place on this occasion. My wife had been on the job of preparing her delicacies since early morning. She had prepared a number of dishes like Raj Kachori, Alu-chat, Pau-bhaji, pani-puri and everyone enjoyed so much that my mother gave a lot of blessings. No doubt all had enjoyed a lot. We have such get togethers almost every Sunday, but when there is such special occasion, it is no doubt more and more enjoyed and it gives the feeling of togetherness.

Festival

So Diwali came and went without much happening. Don't know why but gradually festive spirit is diminishing day by day. Is it because of the rising cost of life? Or is it simply because people are turning more practical day by day? The most acceptable reason seems to be struggles in life is leaving very little energy to enjoy the festivals with much interest. It is just that the festivals have to be celebrated as a routine. So what will happen at the end? Will it be that we will gradually stop celebrations as we are becoming more practical day by day? In our childhood, whatever little we could do, we enjoyed like anything and there was waiting for such festivals, but now I don't know what has happened to us, everything seems much of a routine thing. I still wonder where this is leading to.
